in order to put a creative imaging in perspective once more we allude you to a retro designed booklet of a further new edition in early 2010 off our homebase. apart from that absolutely certain letters & words basically account for BANDscheibenRECORDs` appearance ... (with a short click on the the images above you`ll attain worthwile hidden details as customary)

in remote part / off the beaten track

in default of cobble month synopses together such as previous times, i will revert to these old traditions for once over again. those comprehend a keen selective overview of contemporary, international, independent soundscapes which find favor with BANDscheibenRECORDs music appreciation.
drown-out. bland space effects. a genial ambient & electronica crossing.

still life still >>> planets
wriggles itself alongside a restrained percussion. best life is still laid-back life.

jed and lucia >>> spaceman
just floating in space. wow!

sea dweller >>> every inch
shoegaze tune. partly fulminate dreampop. tremendous one.

the ropes >>> love is a chain store
calm and serene. as if !bruise female pristine...

electric president (as well radical face) >>> good morning, hypocrite
smooth-tongued begin. delightful ending.

cruyff in the bedroom >>> loved
takes a bath in the vein of melancolic shoegaze-mecca. well-loved japanese.

pink opaque >>> daydream
simply godly daydream.

hartfield >>> a sorrowful heartland
in the vein of portobello (swiss), more shoegaze than alternative.

pink opaque >>> set me free
in the vein of sonic youth with a maddening melody.

spoon >>> this book is a movie
purely instrumental.

her magic wand >>> mistakes
catchy. sensitive. melody-driven indiepop. no mistake for sure.

charlotte gainsbourg >>> IRM
pulsative flow. includes induiced noise of a magnetic resonance tomograph.

kinski >>> passwords & alcohol
tuneful parts combines into a bundle of noisy punk-rock elements.

beangrowers >>> the farewell party
simple grace. in the vein of howling bells, but more bass dominated.

character defining features for 90s independent rock. like pixies.

electro group >>> if i could see
rough and ready. ambitious nu-gazer group.

pretty girls make graves >>> this is our emergency
onward drifty neo-punk-rock band. such a shame they arguably broke up.

blood on your shoes...

a beautiful shortie. blood red shoes will release a new album called "fire like this" in march this year and this song "light it up" is the first single.
combining melodic tunes with pure energy, this has to be a absolute burn - everything - down hit. take a listen and be sure you don't fall off the chair while the refrain is drilling into your ears. congrats to laura-mary carter on the guitars and steven ansell on the drums to this brilliant 3:28 minute blast. watching out for the album! ah and by the way, they will be in munich on the 24th of march. you may get tickets here. and if they don't cancel the show suddenly as it was two years ago at the atomic cafe, it might be a "don't - miss - concert". your choice!

a dynamic boost-converter

if you read our posts at regular intervals, you know my particular addiction to one special kind of voice in the whole music universe for sure. since i `ve been heard this outstanding unique suffrage at the begining of new millennium, i exactly knew there hardly ever won`t be any kind of tone i was so much impressed by in such a way. beside his main project brian molko lent his talent on and off other music cooperations. in 2002 for example he assumes the lead vocals during a track called "carbon kid" by the alpinestars, an electronic rock-duo based in manchester. this track features enormous appeal. it goes straight forward because of its vitality. last but not least beacause of its electronic backbone as well. the custom-fit lyrics go hand in hand with the melody. no filler, a dancefloor killer!

image image you do you want/
image image we`re leaving the ground/
image image we`ll never be found/
you`re a carbon kid with a sinister diagram/

equally fantastic working video sequences...

a february cross-flow: remote & casual

BANDscheibenRECORDs would like to recommend brand new material to all music lovers outside there. in our opinion these guys (newly within a hot cuckle leah shapiro on drums) are one of the best & impulsive bands nowadays. at least for the alternativ & experimental guitar-driven rocksector it may be the cause. this genre often comes along with a whiff of psychodelic mood. their forthcoming album, which answers to the tuneful name of "beat the devil`s tattoo", probably will take the same line. Without the chance of getting the whole tracklistening before release in early march, i`m able to say worthwile words about one of BRMC`s brilliant new songs anyway. bit by bit i have to avow this track might have the possibility to stand in a row with a forceful competition of their self titled debut album in any case. everything seems to be a perfect match. robert`s singing & curling guitarriffs commemorate a palmy "awake". with burgeoning assurance "bad blood" is on the way to a personal absolute favourite. backbone lyrics - full of tremendous flow! bang, bang they`re really alive!

january sobbing - a short review #1

a short january review about some most listened songs:

blue jungle - mean things (link to the bands myspace site):
superb song! this is pure post - punk. hailing from los angeles, this band seems to be on the right way to blend childlike voices with garage - goth sounding guitars at its best. and, in addition, their artwork is great...
download some tracks at the bands blog for free! here...

sad day for puppets - again (from cloudberry)
this 5 piece band from blackeberg, sweden, is another great shoegazer. nothing new you think? well, almost true. but...melancholic guitars, at least that much melancholic voices plus lyrics creating something special i have to like! "i can still see you in my dreams..."
influenced by the early ninetees and formed in 2006 this band should get familiar to us in between the first half of 2010. so dream again, and again and again and listen to that song!
myspace link.

the electric pop group - you are my inspiration
so, staying in sweden but heading a bit to the north, to gothenburg. erik and martin aamont perfoming bitter - sweet indie pop. this song, released on the bands second album "Seconds" in january 2010 is my inspiration for lonesome evenings... if you like that kind of sweden-tangled guitar pop, than have a short listen to the other songs of the latest album at myspace.

oasis - supersonic
a shortie without that much explanation. it smashed my ears while i was talking to some bottles of beer at the atomic - cafe. awesome.

florence and the machine - you've got the love (xx remix)
and another shortie. i think a lot is written about florence and the machine. read more for example here, or here. this remix from xx is really a fine chill-out-good-night-song. lay back. try to fetch the beat, the vocals and dont' forget: you've got the love!
you should also listen to this... kiss with a fist. great uptempo song.
