verbal orgasm...
...from a shyly swiss pulchritude, who sounds off urbane but don`t like talk about so much. sophie has been catched my ears and eyes since i`v heard her fabulous piano song walzer für niemand or low-key house of gods from her 2nd lp monday`s ghost.
multilingualism-talent sophie hunger from switzerland come up with new music output. she called her all up 3rd album simply 1983. within the title track she takes her year of birth as a bench mark for a swan song to present culture. between blending edges of folk, jazz, soul and pop flashes up her mastermind, her brilliant deep spaced faned voice. a voice that alternates amongst slightly agressive, partly agitated, impulsive undertones and empathetic, sorcerous, circumspective and elfish paths. hunger`s singing seems like sensuously magic and linguistical to elusive. she owns tactfulness for dynamic differentiation and dazzling expressivity. calmness and atrabiliousness take turns with fevered overtroqued accent. within her live performances these vocal amorous adventures combined with sophies matchless facial expression glamourize her artistry. complete devotion! heavy weight impressively!

don`t be in such a hurry...
...if seismic vibrations oscillates your telephone receiver. all the same they come in the form of a gentle breeze. anyway brooklyn - current hotbed for any continuous qualified popmusical vibration - rings the doorbell again.
everybody who is familiar with new york`s band-guys longwave is able to recognize within his new project hurricane bells longwaves´singer and guitarist steve schiltz. eleven solid indiepop tracks complement his first lp tonight is the ghost. it mostly consists of rather measured acting melodies, while a suave instrumentation accompanied his eaceful voice. above all non-vocal tenterhooks, also the winters in new york (downloadable simply by enter your email-adress) incl. its unbeatable repetitive wailing melodic arcs and i can`t remember take that line. like placing someone on hold. in addition worth mentioning a salient slipping tonight i`m going to be like a shooting star nestling between a barfaced guitar solo that literally shakes some garage wall.
no sooner had i put the phone down than it rang again and again. please don`t hang up!
some more upbeat.
a short journey through brooklyn.

moths in the red light...
this song from french duo m83 is incredible. i totally recommend you to watch the vid. turn down the light, turn up the speakers, lay back and watch this wonderful composition of music and pictures... i've never seen and experienced so far a better combination of music and pictures. after listening to the song you will feel like... ya, let me know!
Like a moth she moves to the red light
She skims the sweat like a new milk
And pops the buttons off her wet blouse
Oh, Queen of the Night!
Well she is deep inside!
She is haunting me!
All of her soft parts call to me
She could be mine
demolished in the attic

I want to mangle her soul

with this battered heart.
I want to roar at her,
with this blazing chord.

Stop loving,

In the garage....
...music mostly comes off the best. if you don't have a garage, you should listen to the right music. for example to this 6-piece garage rock 'n roll band from the big isle. the blanche hudson weekend is the perfect band for tepid long summer evenings, hot sweaty days on the beach or for extensive beer-dancing party nights at the club. the band manages to blend together different influences like the velvet underground or mazzy star and creates this special fresh expended 60s garage rock sound that we all like, don't we?
here are some tunes you definitly should check out!
noise and furry (the letters to daddy ep)
the last ride (the letters to daddy ep)
let me go (hate is a loaded gun ep)

lost in translation...
"free to live, last time
and you, you’re always
you’re wonderful, i wanted you
i do, i do, i do
free to go, i know
and you, you
city girl, you’re beautiful
i love you, i do, i do, i do"
(city girl, `03)
(breathless, `93)
"turn my head into sound
i don't know when i lay down on the ground
you will find the (way it) hurts to love
never cared and the world turned hearts to love
you will see, oh now, oh the way i do"
(sometimes, `91)
"you and i we head back east
to find a town where we can live
even in the half light
we can see that something's gotta give
when we watched the markets crash
the promises we made were torn
then my parents sent for me
from out West where i was born
some people say, they've already lost
but they're afraid to pay the cost for what we've lost
pay the cost for what we've lost"
(half light II - no celebration, `10)

"my eager eyes came stumbling down
over this pristine view
my second-rate poetry
just is not enough to describe you
i'm scrambling 'round the floor
looking for some fresh metaphor
all the words to describe this just do not exist
i feel better than ever before
i`m breathless and speechless
but still, there is so much to say
in words with one syllable"

"we run through the streets
that we know so well
and the houses hide so much
we're in the half light
none of us can tell
they hide the ocean in a shell
the ocean in a shell
our heads are just houses
without enough windows
they say you hear human voices
but they only echo"

"searching in, in an empty room
"it`s the disease of the age
it`s the disease t hat we crave
alone at the end of the rave
we catch the last bus home
corporate america wakes
coffee republic and cakes
we open the latch on the gate
of the hole that we call our home"

this time i might

neu! :: hallogallo nearly 10 minutes. is reminicent of norma-song "the storm" or rather fujiya & miyagi`s "ankle injuries" but in more discreet modality. superb opening.
nola`s key :: vivre son histoire hybridizes partial placebo song structures, mostly intros. the first part including the hypnotic ion-intro opens up placebos indoor concerts in 2006.
viva la fete :: noir desir zurich open air attendee from belgium. spotlessly clean electronica - at times melancholy- alternative tunes. all-consuming!
health :: die slow paramount. heavily club-oriented. as well as its artificial whittled sequences. to be present in zurich on 27th august too.
