Arcade Fire - We used to wait
a perfect song.
I used to write, I used to write letters I used to sign my name I used to sleep at night Before the flashing lights settled deep in my brain But by the time we met By the time we met the times had already changed

you’re wonderful, i wanted you
i do, i do, i do
free to go, i know

i don't know when i lay down on the ground
you will find the (way it) hurts to love
never cared and the world turned hearts to love
you will see, oh now, oh the way i do"
(sometimes, `91)
"you and i we head back eas
t
to find a town where we can live
even in the half light
we can see that something's gotta give
when we watched the markets crash
the promises we made were torn
then my parents sent for me
from out West where i was born
some people say, they've already lost
but they're afraid to pay the cost for what we've lost
pay the cost for what we've lost"
(half light II - no celebration, `10)

"my eager eyes came stumbling down
over this pristine view
my second-rate poetry
just is not enough to describe you
i'm scrambling 'round the floor
looking for some
fresh metaphor
all the words to describe this just do not exist
i feel better than ever before
i`m breathless and speechless
but still, there is so much to say
in words with one syllable"

"we run through the streets
that we know so well
and the houses hide so much
we're in the half light
none of us can tell
they hide the oc

the ocean in a shell
our heads are just houses
without enough windows
they say you hear human voices
but they only echo"

i'm alone again

They've released their debut "Reichenbach Falls" in 2007 and it sounds like -hm- a bit like Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade, but convince yourself with the great song "General Lafayette! You Are Not Alone" avalaible from freeIndie.com! There are more songs on freeIndie.com, so go there and download them... And as in every post, i propose you to check out the MySpace Page of the band.
