Die BANDscheiben rauf und runter: in den Weiten des Internets!

Aufgemerkt! Ein paar Anspieltipps, mit denen man vielleicht leichter ins Jahr 2009 schwappt!

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart: Die 4 befinden sich zur Zeit auf großer England Tour bevor sie im Februar 2009 ihr selbst betiteltes Debüt Album veröffentlichen werden. Ein shoegazeig angehauchtes Must - Have für alle, die gerne auf einer Welle der Ironie reiten. Doing all the things that wouldn't make your parents proud bekräftigt dies doch sehr!

Mit Spannung erwarten wir auch das Debüt eines Trios aus Leeds, Sky Larkin. Nach einigen kostenlosen Hörproben und einem Live Gig im Atomic Cafe München, sind wir voll der Vorfreude auf ihre erste LP. Wer's noch nicht kennt. Hier der wirklich gelungene Song Molten als Gratishörpröbchen oben drauf. Molten!

"Bereits" ihren zweiten Longplayer haben die Karlsruher Diego dieses Jahr veröffentlicht. Passend dazu auch der Titel der LP "Two". Düster und dennoch Poppig geht es dabei zu. die beiden Songs "Echoes" und "Dance" ragen auf einer sehr soliden Platte hervor. Überzeugt euch selbst durch einen Klick auf deren MySpace Seite und seht zu, dass ihr zu eines ihrer Clubkonzerte kommt, im März 2009 gibts dafür ja noch einige Möglichkeiten und ich denke es werden noch weitere Termine folgen. Ich werds auch tun, wenn irgendwie möglich.

2009 wird also mit Sicherheit kein schlechtes Jahr!

How does it feel to be pure at heart?

Is it very painfull? Maybe The Pains of beeing pure at heart from New York can answer this question? Man, this band really catched me. What an incredible sound. Dreamy, melancholic melodies with guitar walls, great lyrics and vocals that reminds me about love, rebellion and a lot of pain.

The bands career started at the birthday party of Peggy. Peggy (vocals, keyboard), Kip,(guitar, vocals) Alex(bass) and Kurt(drums) formed to play at her Party. And thank god, that this was a lot of fun for them and they continued playing music. You don't eaven have to hear the songs to know that this band has to be great. "Doing the things that wouldn't make your parents proud", "This love is fucking right", "Orchard of my eyes" and so on are song titles that say everything. This band combines love, pain rebellion, guitars, vocals and gives us music that really catches our hearts and don't lay them to rest. Come on, check it out! You can download several songs from theire MySpace Page and listen to "This love is fucking right". and this great line of the song: "You are my sister and this love is fucking right!"
In September 2008 the band will come to Sweden to play some gigs and in early 2009 their debut should be release. So hopefully the four are shipping over the great lake and give us some pain and gigs in Germany.
