one-of-a-kind thunderstorm

don`t irritate! i, for one couldn`t make out much of the tags on last.fm profile. with reasonable certainty a willy-nilly mistake. more than ever it sounds like a distinctive mix of noiserock and scraping shoegaze tunes. kind of melodic strings relocate waving drums. collider, an ambitious north american independent-group from san francisco, create a very impressive sound. a load of energy, experimental, emotional-associative through some mid-length jams. maybe matches most closely compared with early sonic youth. anyway their bbm ep (available for free via bandpage) is an infinite loop for sure. it`s quite hard to accentuate tracks. non-stop high-quality at all. e.g. "the grid goes down tonight" has an overwhelming intenseness in such a way. this incognizeable complaining vioce! glorious. as well i prefer currently subsequent tracks: a psychodelic & magnificent warped "black rooms" and the drifty "time concerns". we must not forget to mention a continuous climatic song "big bang machine". tremendous being noisy finally. "mcl" draws my instant attention based on a catchy primary hookline, erupting more and more barbarous to recur. "modern ends" overturns with its guitar-loops. what a crowning closing! as well as 2nd ep down in saturines (...). jubilant soundscapes go straight on track by track. in such a way i`m collided with this damn worthwile band!

Mauern sind zum Einreißen da...

Und dieser Song reißt alle Mauern ein. "It kills me to think of it, how I always want her". Boom. Eine Bass/Drum Linie, dass einem das Blut in den Venen kocht. Boom. "I hate the pictures on the wall". Ein verschüchterter Gesang untermauert von klirrend kalten Gitarren. "I hate the pictures on the wall".

Anspieltipp: Was She A Vampire - Marry Me. (Link zur MySapce Seite, dort im Player Marry Me auswählen)

keen-eared

at the beginning i wasn`t the only person who received a completly wrong impression by the delusive voice of following band. at first view 8 of 10 people would identify the lead singer as a woman by mistake. i´m sure. that´s all about hatifnats, an upcoming shoegaze-dreampop trio from warsaw. by observing their first vocals you will useless looking for a female person on stage. anyway, you won`t find none. on stage: absolute guy`s night. perplexing but true. so much for that. this kind of phonetic charakteristic made these three polish musicians completely unique in a sense with an own artistic vision. they self-described them "closer to a romantic ideal of music which should be enjoyed consciously and seriously".

so, on january 15th i had the chance to listen to one of their still rare germany performances. it took place at gloria (i`ve already mentioned this delightful club inclusive the tireless S|U|B|L|I|M|E evenings here). memorable was the intro-begining of "towards the sunset", which they drag on a little. lead singer michal pydo fascinated the audience with his circular movements on his guitar. it rang very cabalistic. epic interweaved in some way. nearly meditative. dreamlike. also memorable the ending of their regular set. "before it is to late", the title track, overreached ceremonial with conclusion. what intenseness! i guess they played all audiolicious songs from their debut. as additional encore the formidable track "horses from shelville" was powerful repeated for 2nd time. good on you!
