farewell. goodbye 2011

farewell. goodbye ep 2011

2011 is disappearing slowly.
it`s about time saying thank you for being around and staying with us through thick and thin in difficult and of course just fine moments. i have to say this on a very personal harebrained day. on a day my familiar circumstances weighed down with sorrow. on a day my beloved grandad hasn´t enough energy coming back to life again. on a day of mourning. so this little farewell-goodbye compilation 2011 isn`t only for closing 2011, it is also in remembrance of much-loved people which haven`t a chance stepping forward through 2012. keep them and especially their lives in loving memory forever as we all should do.

advent advent 24th dream on levitating

"put me to sleep"

"stop to complain, turn your head around
restrain yourself and then you die
did you tell your friends how much you missed ‘em all?
how great is living a brand new world!
and it’s hard tonight for em to talk
is too late, the pie is over, and i really need to go

would you do something for me,
do something for me?
would you put me to sleep,
put me to sleep?

this headache i have is riding … over my brain
didn’t find my shoes and the night is about to end
and i think of loss, of boys and girls
i need your love, i hope you mind…"

advent advent #16th wave your worries, cares, goodbye

"renn weg von all deiner langeweile,
renn weg von all deinem hurentum
und schicke deine sorgen und achtsamkeiten davon,
es bedarf nur einer entscheidung, viel mut,
eine kleine vision, um deine sorgen und achtsamkeiten davon zu schicken"

placebo
"slave to the wage"

run away from all your boredom
run away from all your whoredom and wave
your worries, and cares, goodbye

all it takes is one decision
a lot of guts, a little vision to wave
your worries, and cares, goodbye

it's a maze for rats to try
it's a race, a race for rats
a race for rats to die
it's a race, a race for rats
a race for rats to die

sick and tired of maggie's farm
she's a witch, with broken arms to wave
your worries, and cares, goodbye

it's a maze for rats to try
it's a race, a race for rats
a race for rats to die
it's a race, a race for rats
a race for rats to die
burn away
run away

retrospective 2000-2011.

irresistible live-magnet. definitely one of my favourite tracks of placebo. you never even don`t lose sight of one´s own placebo-big bang on `black market music`. as it were some kind of entrance card into a world with more harmony feelings i crashed into an outstanding "slave to the wage" a little bit later i guess and i knew from first listening what to expect from that kind of otherworldly tunes on placebo`s third record which changed my mind of meaningful musical output completely.

even if it seemed a long period of time - eleven years ago - i`m still emotionally going strong. what posh music was on it! but since there i have had some time-limited experiences as a wage slave person. but i`m still runing away from boredom and trying to wave worries and cares, goodbye!

advent advent #15th protect what you love

radical face
"welcome home (reprise)"

almost everybody has been involved with a well-known advertising find. even i have observed it on tv commercial, but as music lover i knew the whole lp before for sure. after listening enough material, it seemed quite clear, that ben cooper and his musical combatants weren`t really be good to leave their mark on masses with a further controllable pop-example. it was kind of a one-time story. i already enjoy that track, but i`m feeling more comfortable by knowing that radical face`s world is furthermore. and it is widely more.

and for that matter i`ve founded in between, that even yonder song `welcome home, son` appears in a much more meaningful version - some kind of subtle sublime lofi-nugget of the first water. on its own a primary intoned paino intro rings terrific and not of this world. i`m pleased for that fact all the more. here it is, on december, 15th. such as adequate. protect what you love!

including two above via bandpage)

"more than letters"
"atlas hands demo"
(i prefer the demo even more than the orginal
`cause his voice is kind of stronger to the fore)

a man called benjamin francis leftwich. for several reasons i have focussed my ears on the york-based guy. first of all i heard some talented folk-voice in connection with an unobstrusive but subtle precision grounded arcade fire "rebellion" recovering i couldn`t expected.

fortunately he later fell into my hands again. in great anticipation on the basis of an intimate evening session in february 2012 at the unhurried atomic café in munich music lovers will be able to listen to his live abilities in the near future. currently he`s being annouced as an optimally well-oiled stage opening for ben cooper and his accompanying music friends - widely known as radical face. together with their marked-down folk-/indieopop sound fogs both bands are going to give proof of their unbelievable talent of never dying soulmates for sure. tactile, temperate, melodious. music lovers, please take place!

as kind of further auditory foretaste that will do...

sharon, oh sharon!

new york based singer-songwriter sharon van etten will release her third album "tramp" in february next year. "serpents" is the first single-release, which blow my mind not only by this song but also by the b-side "mike mc dermont". it's craggy like the breakers and dinky like a chocolaite-crossaint...

video of the week(end)

yeah!
all you lucky people on friday night in kentish town in the london borough of camden! what a colourful coming back on tour i wouldn`t dream of such a thing! probably their music-genre casts it feathers to the spearhead of britain´s metropolis in the near future...
as band manager jason thomas is in the habit of saying, cheers again! essex rules britannia!

ambitious. bracing. an exhilarating coherent intro combined with a high level of vocal backbone and smashing guitars. a massive energizing performing of `the boiler room ep` lead track "get along" makes the day again.

of course bandscheibenrecords put out feelers and perk up its ears, if any appearance of these brilliant guys swashes on the surface, `cause we`ve been still proud of having you hosted for first guest performance in germany ever and wont`forget that till the day you `coming home` again. we do! all get along, get along!

and to bring up older more than worthwhile memories, here`s a very keen and sublime acustic one by richard judge, who remains robert levon been from black rebel motrocycle club by his heartwarming attitude. turn up the volume and let`s have the blues!

cool.cooler.cooper.

i've got no need for open roads
'cause all i own fits on my back
i see the world from rusted trains
and always know i won't be back

'cause all my life is wrapped up in today
no past or future here
if i find my name's no good
i just fall out of line

but i miss you
but there's no comin' home
there's no comin' home
with a name like mine
i still think of you
but everyone knows
yeah everyone knows
if you can, let it go

i seen more places than i can name
and over time they all start to look the same
but it ain't that truth we chase
no, it's the promise of a better place
...

i`m quite sure ben cooper have been taken his well-deserved place on bandscheibenrecords in earlier times yet. nevertheless in great anticipation on the basis of an optinally munich setting in february 2012 i will not keep that back from you music enthusiasts. his band radical face brought us back another welcome lp `the family tree:the roots` during the year 2011. currently his latest achievement "ghost town", another marked-down folk-/indieopop hybrid gives proof of his unbelievable talent of a never dying soulmate.

one of my personal
outstanding favourite based on this usofa artist, a heart-warming and embracing lofi- reduced indiepop nugget "wrapped in piano strings" (download via soundcloud-link), whose sentimental skateboard video atmosphere is simple brilliant fitted as well as significant for a perfect way of life. without words. oh well! nearly.

i saw your father in the hall
his ghost is living in the walls

i heard him crying while you slept
i heard him breaking things after you left

i watched you crawl into my bed
with curses spilling from your head
you said "we're just the walking dead"
so i pulled the trigger and we floated...

haunting confessions from far east...

farewell
it's long gone,
gone away
words were almost lost and gone
i felt it was far away;
even if it was near
i felt i could reach at least
ready made answers are here,
sitting like a gu deposit
and always tries to deliver
i turn away from those kind of things
get up and go, my will
just wave a good-bye
farewell

first of all let me tell you one thing: thankfully i recently had the chance to take part in one of my personal most worthwile soul-crushing art cinematic experience up to now if i have to talk about any exhaustive emotions that have been built up in art moving images within a magic music context roundly.

"confessions", a really perfectly imagery arranged japanese (actually noboby comes to my mind who illustrates art moving scenes with keen selected exquisite poptunes in an adequate better way than able tetsuya nakashima) school thriller-drama was predominant based on very special, kind of subtle shoegazepop/dreampop soundscapes, which emphasize circumstances meaningful or increase a world of emotions the opposed characters living in. The intensity of japanese drone-gaze-rockband boris` track "farewell" at movie plot punchline slow-motion-explosion-scene is completely breathtaking and worth to memorable. The breakdown at the beginning is fucking groundbreaking. a more then 7 minutes funeral, farewell!

live performance as well underneath...

and if that wasn`t enough england`s spearhead superior popband radiohead ups the ante with a more than lyrical superior depressing piano track that every listener is on no laughing mood. "last flowers to the hospital". name is program. bless my heart! can you find space inside a bleeding heart...

appliances have gone berserk
i cannot keep up
treading on people's toes
snot-nosed little punk
and i can't face the evening straight
and you can't offer me escape
houses move and houses speak
if you take me there you'll get relief
believe, believe, believe, believe...
and if I'm gonna talk
i just wanna talk
please don't interrupt
just sit back and listen
cause i can't face the evening straight
and you can't offer me escape
houses move and houses speak
if you take me there you'll get relief
believe, believe, believe, believe...
it's too much
too bright
too powerful
too much
too bright
too powerful
too much
too bright
too powerful
too much

soul-consoling. warm-hearted. embracing.

in the black out of light
i found a rhyme on hope
in the corner of doubt

someone left a word hanging on to me still
a comfort i say
the making of a slow day

i draw a pair of new eyes in my mind
reaching out who knows what i could find

walking aimlessly
walking aimlessly

in blue hours of dawn
before the day rushes on
and confusion grabs hold
have the thoughts come and let go

i think it`s been said enough about anna ternheim and her subtle talents in the recent past.
but i also think it`s not slightly exaggerated if i said her warm-hearted and embracing voice is one of the smartest in a great female music independent scene up to present. charming miss!

in combination with music i`m always interested in meaningful and expressive pictures behind tunes. well done miss sverige!

what an opening!
a place to bury strangers meets joy division! when that drum-bass-guitar combination kicks into a cold atmosphere loaded full of darkness before clanking clear captivating guitar-echoes flashing up from lostness and a subtle underlined background-voice blazes a trail itself for brighten up an overclouded scenery. it certainly makes not only a real impression during a midnight club evening as the daytime video sequence gives proof of that. but predestinated very well, i´d say!
