song of the week(end)

Down on my knees, felt I made a mistake
You're drug that I couldn't shake
You were the air that I couldn't breathe
Lie awake for wait our restrain
You, me, I'm a rotten human

curacao blue

i was still waiting for the daylight when you appeared
and when i'd wrap my arms around you
i wasn't scared
i know just what i was drinking when i first was untrue
sea air, cheap beer, and some loneliness all mixed with curacao blue

within a bloody brilliant lifetime in the south of istria earlier this month i hadn`t only stumbled across a blue bar liquid but more upon a really marvelous song named `curacao blue` from mansions an unknown band from music ground of seattle. its lyrics are so soft and fragile in a special way of getting spoken and disappearing completely. a voice that doesn't rise above a whisper. there's a lot in between, as well. especially a late eve-nin` pleasure for sure.

The way I feel can't be helped
You owe them nothing
It's time to walk away and leave this behind
Let go
