i think i`d thought i`d nothing else to think about

icelandic / lo-fi powerpop / folk / distinguished naivety

almost crazy words. lyrical obscure. as even sindri már sigfússon. the seabear crown named his icelandic secondary project a trifle bulky sin fang bous. it`s always amazing how just an outlying island come up with suchlike popmusic. and sindri ran single-handedly. despite, or perhaps because of that fact..

i think i`d thought i`d nothing else to think about (sin fang bous cover the chills)

big waves are perfect teardrops

already known and labeled in the background for several times. definitely an infinite loop for sure...

primarily under the prevailing circumstances (upcoming tour stop in munich, april 15th) rolled up once again. an ambitious swedish quintet around graceful singer anna eklund think back a little to the early 90ies, when this kind of splendid spinning resonance guitars billowed from nearly each club. embracing sadness. unconditional fine.

"...goodbye, goodbye, goodbye my love, baby goodbye". but in all likelihood, it`s not as sad as it seems!

raven in the grave

one of my favourite bands is going to release a new lp called "raven in the grave"on the 5th of april. here is a song, taken from the album. wohoo. it's much darker than their old stuff. i'm kind of ravished by this gazing-like sound.
forget that you are young by the raveonettes

postcards from paris.

my admiration for beirut`s handiwork have been fostered since their begining in 2006 and will be continued for sure. subliminal and extrinsic magnetized together i`ve fallen victim to one of brooklyn`s craziest bird in a positive way since there. barely his otherworldy far-eastern lo-fi big-band-like tonalitys of unusual manner amongst a whiny-voiced lament taped the pulse of the age purely sudden and produced a couple of masterpieces and will probably leave one of the most significant and trend-setting memorable popartist of a still emerging millenium. declaredly a georgous "postcards from italy" from their debut goes a little bit stronger on my mind since then almost in passing.

well! let`s draw the bow for nowadays: a young parisian agathe. together with her friend josephine she plays excellent and exquisite cover versions of favored dears. underneath beloved song, of course. especially i`m taken with the provisional trumpet parts. you have to sense to hear something to pick up some spirit of an embracing metropolis. but see for yourselves...

paris! i say! towns of europe! please give such empathetic folk "mademoiselles" a break!

dissapear, dissapear!

music from italy is very rare on this blog. i guess we never reported about bands from the southern part of europe.
todays post catching duo young wrists is doing nothing new. they are doing the jingle jangle low fi sound that catches my heart in about 5 seconds. female vocals brilliant guitar tunes and up tempo songs. it fits. try for your own. listen to the vids. and download the song "i want you to dissapear". if this doesn't break the ice. you are lost ;-)
